turbo surge??
Stock Turbo? When does it surge? If it only does it when your running high boost and suddenly back out of the throttle then its pretty normal. The solution is to not back out of the throttle so fast.
It depends on how hard it does it. The slang term is "barking the turbo". When you back out of the throttle quickly you loose most of your force that spins the turbo. However the intake tract is still full of pressurized air which finds the easiest path out, back through the turbo. When it does this it can either stop the turbo from spinning or decelerate it almost instantaneously which is rather hard on parts.
However with a stock turbo and pretty stock fueling I don't think you can surge it hard enough to hurt it.

I disageee on that last thought. When I first bought my dodge I drove it like a gasser and had the same issue. I quickly adapted my right foot agressiveness to change this. Barked my HY a few times, before the 65's and EJWA on stock mode. There are "blow off" products available but pulling out of the throttle a little slow will give the same results.
I didn't say you couldn't do it. I just don't think it will be severe enough to break something. Though I should amend that by saying the more often you do it the likelier it is to break.

thanks
