Default egt problem

hey guys, my truck used to run 700* down the road at 70.
now i have sdx 5x.014s and installed a lift kit with 37 in tires.
now it runs like 950* down the road and heats up quick.
i understand the injectors are hotter. but fore just cruising?
im thinking turning 37s with stock 354 gearing is my problem.
it runs like 1600 rpm at 70. im thinking 410s or 430s would help this problem.
also if i pairly touch the throttle it starts pouring smoke. do you all think its just loading down the motor so much with stock gears? or why would my egts raise so much?
im also looking into a better s300 frame based charger for my top turbo and ditching that hx40 thanks

the charger will help but your egts are going to be higher and when you put your truck under a load cruising your egts will climb until you get some boost and cooler air going in heating up quick 950 isnt bad at all you should be fine

I had 40"s and 3.73's, not the best combo for egts, I'd recommend going to a 4.56 or maybe 4.11 would be just fine for what you're doing, I only spin 1600 at 75ish egts are around 700-900 depending on lots of stuff

i thought you already changed gears. that made like a 200* difference for me. i went from stock 3.54 to 4.56. i would re-gear it but that still does seem like its a little hot.

who? I have my gears sitting at the shop, it just hasn't been priority number one for me currently, ball joints and some other things are/were bad and needed replacing

im thinking 410s? i think 456s would be to tall for me. i know a guy that would swap me 410s for free. any tips on changing the ring and pinion. i would rather do that then swap axles(before someone suggests that route"
