Perhaps a boost leak? If it old happens under load it is probable.

Sounds like a pressure leak from somethin, be it air, boost, water or fuel. Check the hose clamps on everything. I have a fuel regulator doin this myself.

You may also need to test for boost leaks.

how do you test for boost leaks??? could it be my injection pump bc i am goin to replace it tomorrow it just came in today!!! 1st try at it... sorry off topic.. but i looked into it further today at work and it sounds like it (hard to explain) it sounds like the turbo but a differnt pitch and when u gas it u hear the turbo and all of a suddon let go u hear it like deeper whine like ramping down!! i checked the high ram gaskets and boots and also checked the torque on the bolts

I won't count that out as a possibility, but doubt that that is the issue. Those bullitens are for 98-99 24valve trucks. I assume we are talking about the truck in your sig, which is a 2002, and may not have this issue. Not to say that the previous owner may have made a mistake if they had to change it. If you would like to double check to be sure, it is the hose that comes off the passenger side of the head, and goes to the heater core. I believe the other line runs down towards the front of the engine, via a steel tube.

I believe this is the site you were refrencing:

Ram Diesel Index

This site is a wealth of information.
