Default bad oil leak

well after driving in my truck I just purchased I started a nice lil oil leak which seems to be coming from the power steering pump area. is there a gasket in between the motor and power steering pump and is this a common problem on these trucks?

There is actually a vacuum pump bolted to the gear case, then the steering pump is bolted to that, there is a gasket or O-ring (can't remember which) between the vacuum pump and the case.

If it is between the P/S pump and vacuum pump it is the seal in the tail housing of the vacuum pump.

Need to know which end is the problem.

Mine had a leak in that area as well. I used a low powered pressure washer with the setting on hot to remove all the crap from the area. Tricky to do as many angles are needed. I found mine leaking between the timing cover and vacuum pump. There is a gasket between the two, at least there was on mine. I was able to unbolt the assembly and pull it back far enough to replace the gasket without having to remove any lines/hoses. Thats my story.
