Anyone run something like this?

Cherry Bomb 87528 - Cherry Bomb Glasspack Mufflers - Overview - SummitRacing.com

I am just looking for something to knock the loudness out. Yeah it sounds good and all but the cool factor has worn off at this point.

No offense but I think a diesel would sound like poop with a glasspack on it. And I think the soot would make it useless eventually if your truck blows smoke. Just personal opinion.

I'd go with a magnaflow or silverline if i were you they sound the best in my opinion, the MBRP mufflers also sound good

Looks to me that MBRP is nothing more than an overpriced glasspack.

Looking to spend $40-50 at most.

My MBPR Installer series 5" came with a glass pack, and they tell you to install it backwards, "for more efficient flow". Rendering it pretty much useless. Not too sure of the sound difference with or without it, but it is on there now. I mostly agree, except my truck doesn't sounds like "poop".

I have heard that some guys cram a Hiway tractor style muffler under their truck. The inlets and outlets are teh right size, and theoretically should dampen the sound. May be something to look into.

We used to go to races with a guy that had coverted a cheese wagon into a RV. He painted it up like the #3monte carlo and had glasspacks on it. It sounded pretty good to me. It was all blow and no go tho HAHA
