My dad has an 2001 2500 cummins, auto trans with the stock vp44 that died saterday. I'm not sure if the 275 hp motorhome pump would work with this truck. Any help would be appreciated.

 

You will need the VP44 pump made for your truck.

It may work for you. some people have had success with it. The internals are mostly the same from the 16x/029 and 15x/027 pumps, but the electronics are not the same. I have no idea how it would perform with a performance box.

Better to go with the pump that was designed for your engine.
