Our junk yards around here have allot of misc. stuff. Is it worth buying an HX35 or HX40? I dont have 1500$ for a turbo kit and if i did have 1500$ I would probably put it in my tranny right now just to be safe.

Are there gains from running one of the those 2 turbos? I have an HX30 on my truck now.

 

The stock turbo on your truck is a HX35.

 

i thought the 24v's came with either an hx35 an hy35 depending on transmission not an hx30. am i wrong? an hx40 is an OK upgrade but i didnt like mine. it only lasted 2 months before i had to upgrade. but it all depends on what you want to do with it. if you do go with an hx40 it MUST have a 16cm housing and a 7 blase wheel. anything other than that is junk

 

All the 98.5-00 trucks came with the HX35. The 01+02 Auto Trucks had the HY35.

 

whats the difference in the hx35 and the hy35? and didnt the stick shifts have a slightly bigger one then the autos?

Oh FAIL... Your correct i DO have an HX35. I just looked... I thought it said HX30 last time.. Poo... So are there any affordable upgrades? Or junk yard find turbos?
