A question for automatic transmission owners. What RPMs does your engine
idle at? In neutral? and in park? I was messing with mine after
I put in a new shutoff solenoid cuz it seemed to be low after
I messed with stuff. But I set it about 7 or 8 hundred in neutral,
and it drops to 6 hundred in gear. That sound about right?

 

i dont do autos but i believe that's close or spot on

If it doesn't stall, doesn't drop oil pressure too low, doesn't pull too hard, doesn't overheat the transmission fluid in gear and doesn't runaway, then it's okay.
