Default tying the gauge lights into the dash lights

Just got a smoking deal on a set of brand new phantom auto meter gauges (boost&Pyro) from a friend who sold his truck. i want to hook them up, i have done this to my 12 vavle and road runner and it was simple due to the nature of the beast, but i dont have a repair manual yet and want to know where i splice the gauge lights into on the 04.5 dodges? if anyone has pictures of their wiering job or place that i tap into be it the light switch or fuse panel, i want to do it right and have them dim with the OEM Gauges. Thanks for any help.

use one of those on the dash light fuse. Go to your local napa and have them order one out of the balkamp book with the PURPLE wire coming off of it. Its made by a different company and costs about 1/4 as much as the one they stock on the shelf with the red wire.
Its in the electrical section of the big balkamp book, I can get you a part number later if you want.

I think it is a green with white stripe wire behind the headlight switch... I stripped the wire and soldered it right after the switch.. I used a test light to find the wire that dimmed with the dimmer....

do yall know if the headlight switch in a 06 just pops out the same way? i wanna do mine like that too just havent got around to it... when i did it in my 02 i cut the dimmer wire and ran it to a switch so if i had my headlights on at night i could turn off all my dash lights and gauge lights but still keep the headlights and tail lights on, i wanna do this in my 06 as well... its kinda nice when your on a long run at night and dont wanna have lights in your face
