how hard is it to swap the ford zf 5 speed into my 93 automatic. i don't have a getrag or nv4500 but i have a ford zf out in the junkyard i can use. any help is appreciated

 

your going to need an adapter plate (theyre about 700 bucks). and depending on the adapter you might need a new starter. plus your going to need to get a combo for you hydaulics to work and i dont think the transfer case will fit either but i may be wrong on that. i think itd probably be alot easier just to get a getrag so it bolts right up and works as factory. i mean you can do it however you want but that may be the easier more logical answer
