12v into an 04.5
Im trying to do a little bit of research on how troublesome it would be to put a 12valve into an 04.5 The motor part would be easy. Its just trying to figure out the wiring that will be the task. Would it be just a matter of swapping computers and figuring out the basics or would there be a hell of a lot more involved? Its and automatic, and I figured i would stay with the 47rh thats with the 12v. Any information that I can get would be much appreciated.
What tranny is in it now? Everything is computer controled in the 04. So getting the guages to work is a technical nightmare! IMO you would be better off selling the 12v and fixing the cummins in it!
Wiring to get the 12v to work right would not be hard but like said above if you wanted to keep all your oem gauges that would be tough unless you just wanted to out some aftermarket gauges in there for rpm etc.
