My emergency brake light stays on after i pull the lever to release it. Then after I drive a bit, turn the truck off, and turn it back on it stops. I haven't checked the fuses yet but something tells me my battery cables are still causing some kind of problem because of the codes it threw a couple months ago. Anyone got any ideas? There are no codes and the check engine light is not on and has not come on for quite a while.

Find the switch down by the pedal and push it in it should pop right back out when you let go! If it doesn't replace it. If that's not it I don't know.

My 05 did this when I was having problems with one of my batteries. New battery and it never did it again.
