Default Bucket seats

I have one of the 40/20/40 bench seats in my truck. I'm gonna replace the carpet in it here shortly and thought about gettin the 1st gen bucket seats. My question is will they mount in the factory holes or do they need fabricating. I've heard they are really comfortable compared to the benchs. Thanks guys

Dunno abt the the bolt pattern but yes they are 1000 times better that a bench so it'd be worth doing either way!

those seats are really comfortable even without any mods. i cant help you as for bolt pattern, but its worth drilling a couple new holes if need be

Yeah but don't the bolts go all the way through the cab. Then you'd have a open holes unless there would be a way to tab em. I've not got a welder and I'd be afraid of heatin the metal too much. I would thank though the pattern is the same but who knows

you should be able to drill the holes with a normal cordless drill, and bolt them in from the bottom to mount the seats.

as for your old holes your talkin about, go to home depot get a couple little small sheet metal squares or make some with some tin snips, and use some self tappers to drill it into the bottom of the cab so you dont have a hole, and then seal it with some caulking. yes a welder would be better but its doable without one.

IMO a couple hours of work is well worth the added comfort for hundreds of hours to come

I used a double bucket seat setup that has a middle seat w/flip down seatback storage & cupholders from a 95 Ford! I had to plug the two back bolt holes in the floor and drill two more further back. The front needed a couple of pieces of 2 x 2 square tube welded in with studs on the bottom that uses the original holes. Now it sits at the correct height. There's enough seat movement that people over 6' can drive as comfortably as someone 5'! Plus.... did I mention cupholders! Oh yeah that and power lumbar + heated seats which are really nice on those cold winter mornings ! One of these days I may even get around to posting pics..
