anyone know about what it will cost to have a head gasket replaced on a 05 model 6.0.c:

 

I called fordand they told me it would cost $5500.00 but they saidthey are helping people out. They told me that I could get mine done for half or not half to pay anything at all, but it takes some time for they to review it all. I called them Tuesday of last week and they are still reviewing it, its worth the wait for me though to see if they will work a deal with me. But mine also only had 140,000 miles on it so it was barely out of the warranty so thats why they are looking over mine.

What exactly is your truck doing because I might need to replace my head gasket as well.

 

it is making a noise like a squeak during defueling . some told me that is what they thought it was but i am going to take it to a mechanic next week and i will let you know what they say.
