Default need more power at higher speed???

so my truck runs strong up till around 60 then doesnt give much after that. i can go wot and it just doesnt jump like i feel it sould. i am used to my old 2001 and it would go from 65 to 105 in a blink of an eye. so my question is what else do i need to get more out of the top end? will pushing the plate full forward and getting a set of 191 dv's help this?

yea i have 3000gsk if i push the plate full forward will that help much? i also dont want a smokey mess either, im thinking about some 5x.012's. what pump mod causes most the smoke? i want to be as smokless as possible. ive know that the smoke is controlled 99% by the driver but we all know that these trucks smoke. oh and what the difference between 191dv's and other size dvs and what do they do? sorry for all the questions.

Slide the plate and tune the AFC....that will control the smoke down low and the the plate FF will give the rack more travel for your upper R's fueling you need.

I know there is a nice article about tuning the afc somewhere, I looked but can't find it. I know Duster can find it, he's good at that stuff. I did injectors first, made a difference, added in DV's later and it made a noticeable difference. My truck can be smokey as you want it, or you can drive it normally and not see any smoke at all. its up to you. I think its hard to do all these mods and not have any smoke whether you want it or not.

Not if the AFC is tuned in right. I am going to do an AFC tuning thread between Christmas and New Years with pics and all.....if you cant wait do a search and you'll get TONS of hits.
