Does anyone know how to bump the barrels on a 1996 12 valve

 

what r u meaning "bumb the barrels"?

 

bump the Barrels?? or do you mean bump the timing? cuz you dont mess w/ the barrels once they are set,

 

you can turn the barrels ( IMO its not a good idea)

Ok I am trying to get my truck to black smoke and a few people said i could bump the barrels and turn up the turbo on it to make it smoke and faster. So if you know any easy ways could you explain them to me

Don't just go out and make smoke....that's just wasting fuel....build power and smoke will come with it. You can turn the barrels on the pump but it can cause issues as the barrels are set so that each port flows the same amount of fuel to each injector. Turning them can cause cylinders to run hotter than others and cause issues.....it can be done but it's no advised and there are better ways to make free power.

I know how to turn the barrels.... no I will not tell you how. Not trying to be a d*** I just don't want you to have your heart broke when it goes kablewy.

Use the search button most of what you need to know has already been beaten to death in here. Black smoke does not mean power but its kind of a side effect on these 12valves.

Fill out your sig, if we know what you have done we can better help you with any issues you are having. And I can not stress this enough when attempting to make power DO NOT forget about the drivetrain. With these truck it is very simple to blow apart a stock tranny or burn a clutch past recognition.
