New question
Would would cause what i think is a miss like if ya wacth the rpm gauge sittin at idle it dropsjust a tiny bit just enough to notice and in the exhuast you can here it kind lope or have a really light popping sound it runs fin and driving it is just fine no lose of power but i cant figure it out
Could be several things. Alternator kickin in and out, defrost or air conditioner turned on and the compressor kickin on and off, grid heater firin up, APPS needing adjusted and several other things. These are just off the top of my head. Remember that if you have your air panel selector on Bi-level setting, coming out of the floor and dash vents, that is the air conditioner and the compressor will kick in and out.
ok thats cool yea i was just worried the rpms move down a little then back to normal and it kinda pops sounds kinda like a little back fire i mean you wouldnt even notice it unless you pay attintion but how do you adjust the apps tell me a little bout that whats it do how to adjust
thanks bubba i guess i will try that tomm. see if it helps my truck has close to 200 thou on it so i got a feeling its about time to check it

what would cause my voltage to be high no codes it just runs at about 14 or a tad bit above that on the gauge in the truck what would cause that could that be the apps to

Could my popping problem be bec. of a dirty map sensor

Voltage is fine. thats about where mine sits. And be VERY careful messing with the map sensor. It costs 55 and some change from the cummins store and well over 100 from the stealership. ask me how i know
Doubtful... If you got no error codes the no... If you got a live data tool like a ScanGauge II or similar then you'll be able to see the sensors.
NOTE: Scangauge II does show the boost pressure but the value is wrong...
Now as for the SG II works fine with 03 and up diesel trucks.

I got a friend with a snapon scanner would that tell me how my sensors are doing like are they weak or dead
