Default oil under truck

hey guys ... so i put my truck on the lift on friday and noticed that there is oil coating my bell house and like most parts around there like my front drive shaft , from my experience with my other vehicles ... this usually means that the rear main seal is going .. if not gone ... but was wondering if there is anything else that would be causing this oil dumpage .. i am asuming that its only when the oil system is presurized cuz its not dripping oil were i park ... dont know if that helps
thats all the info i know right now till i can get it back on the lift at work

oil pans like to leak; rear main is very probable... i actually just replaced mine. the stocker was a full steel one with the rubber lip and that coating around the outside that is supposed to help it seal; well the whole seal actually started to rotate in the block instead of the crank rotating in the seal. the new one has a steel body; rubber seal, and rubber ridges taht actually hold it in the block... ran about 70 bucks after tax from cummins
