ok i have a 98.5 24v auto trans i was wandering if i got an exhaust brake would i need to do any thing to the trans

 

You have to install a torque converter lock. This is the link for the one made by BD for your truck. BD Power - Product: TorqLoc

 

Its usually recommended to get a billet input shaft.

Im going to put one on my 96 that im gonna take of my 93. Will i need a billet shaft in my 96? And will it be safe to keep running it on my 93 if it dont have a billet shaft? Also do I need a torque converter lock on my 93 and 96?

 

I have herd that on the 12 valve you need to increase the exhaust valve or both valves springs to 60 pounds not sure do a search.. ED
