Default dead miss and deal pedal... ive tried everything

I have a 00 dodge... about a month ago the truck started to have somewhat of a dead pedal at times... usually just going to 1/2 power not to idle like a typical dead pedal siuation... It has got worse especially on cold mornings and long drives over a cpl hours.... I have wrecked 00 also that was running perfect before it was wrecked... I have changed tps, reset and adjusted the apps, changed map sensor and ecm... the only code i was getting was a 1693 and 0122 after reseting the apps the 0122 code went away, and when i changed the map sensor the 1693 code went away.. Any one with any ideas? It also seems to sometimes have a dead miss when holding the pedal steady... its almost like a hicup

Could be the VP44 is going bad, but it hasn't thrown a code yet.

unfortunately if the lift pump is weak an IP can be destroyed in very low mileage. i'm not up to par on the diagnostics of the 24v's but a starved IP is the same all across the grid. find some way to check lift pump pressure.

if Fuel press has been low it only takes a short time to kill a vp44. Thats what it sounds like to me.

I have had a holley black on there since the vp was new... it olds 15 psi at idle and 8 psi @ WOT.... the pump has not been starved for fuel at all since it has been put on... I also read the codes after going to work this morning... the CEL light was NOT on...I used a generic code reader and got 0216, 0602, 0216,

P0216 is the VP44 death code . I'm thinking whoever you got the pump from, did a crappy overhaul.

Time for a Industrial Injection SO Pump and a Airdog Package Deal.

I know it sucks but get some good fuel pressure so it doesnt happen again.
