Default Grinding Fuel Plate

Hi, everyone, Ok so i am thinking of grinding my fuel plate but i was wondering wat profile would be the best for my diesel. It is mostly stock with an auto trans and afe intake and custom exhaust.

Im in the same boat, same question. i have stock exhaust still. but a KN intake and juat installed guages

get guages and grind plate to a 100 profile

im in the process of buying gauges and as cummins1996 said even with the stock auto.

stock auto wont hold it at all, ur better off buyin a 6 or 8, but even then ur stock converter is gonna be hurtin.

I was able to slip my stock auto with a 6. From what I understand, each truck is different. If you get a plate, don't be too surprised if you start having trans issues.

what is a budget friendly way too have my trans hold the power. a TC and what else ? what kind of TC is what i will need for say a 300 horsepower build ? what is overkill ?

i would suggest only moving the plate forward and turning the star wheel since you are running a stock auto trans...dodge stock autos dont hold up to much abuse...just my .02

i have a stock auto and i got a 12 slid all the way and some stage two injectors from pensacola and for 200 bucks it was a good power gain. if you get a tc and a valve body. even a shift kit would help. star wheel really only does pre turbo boost i have been trying different things with mine and the boost elbow if you loosin it up (towards enginE)more black smoke be4 the turbo lites TURN IT TO TIGHTEN THE SPRING AND IT LITES UP FASTER and made more boost with mine
