How to find rearend ratio?

Ok, other than pullin the dif covers, how can I find out what my rearend ratio is?

jack ur rear end off the ground, spin the tire around once, count how many times your driveshaft spins and thats ur gear ratio.

make sure to use proper lifting methods when jacking up your truck

Yes, usually there is a tag on one of the bolts on the rear diff.

Tag on rear end. Might have to scrape some rust off to see it. Or information in on door. Most likely a code that youd have to look up.

No on a Dodge there is usually a sticker than has the gear ratio on it....On my 98, its under the hood and I think on the 01 - its on the door jam. No code - the ratio should be in plain sight.
