well guys today i was driving on the farm shortly after i got here and iturn to go down this hill. all the sudden no steering. i tried hitting the brakes but the tires dont stop to well sideways. my tie rod on the driverside let go and now i dont know how im gonna get home.trying to get the parts i need to fix it but the aut parts stores around here dont have what i need im just glad it didnt happen on the highway this morning or last night when i was doing 80

 

deffinately better there in the farm the on the highway, but still sucks, hope ya find the parts to fix it fast

 

you can try to weld the tie rods back into shape or use a piece of wire and do the best you can i wouldn't trust it on the highway though

 

a piece of wire? only a ford guy would say that

 

you have no idea how true that is... threads got buggered up on the drag link on one of the tractors... cousins b/f at the time was a ford guy... lost the nut or it wouldnt go back on or something... put a nail thru the cotter pin hole and bent it over...

rag on me all you want for what im about to say but living around broke down equipment all the time i think i have a doctorate degree in afro engineering ive welded wired hammered torched and done so much riggin to get something through the day or back to the shop its not even funny its not a bad thing what that fella said about the nail its called using your brain in a pinch and that is the difference between a mechanic and a parts changer

 

being a fourwheeler i have had some quick trail fixes to get back to pavment so someone could get me. and remember it isnt afro engineering, it is a presidential decision.

 

well i finally got the parts im just gonna re do the whole front end while its apart good i deas guys i ended up using a tow strap to ge it back up to the front of the farm.and then on the trailor and into my shop. hell took it all apart and the one i had strapped up was prolly the safest one. its a miracle i havent died yet, especially the way i drive.
