Default afc trouble

my buddy has a 97 12v and we were looking for an oil leak when i found that his afc has only one bolt in it. i think two are broke off in it and the other is just gone. does it have to have all four and what the easiest way to get the bolts out? im hoping i dont have to drill and try an easy out em.

A easy out is probably your best bet and yes it should have all four in there to make sure it doesnt move around on you. Also the shut down sulenoid uses one of the bolts.

if you take the housing off do the broken bolts stick up or are they flush with the pump? and the shut down bracket uses 2 bolts.

oh ... well if there sticking up just take the housing off and use a pair of vice grips. as long as there are bolts to hold the houseing on it will be fine. if it moves it goes FF no big deal as long as it doesnt move up and down.
