2001 wont start
2001 dodge diesel starts fine when cold but when engine gets hot will only start with shot of eather once started runs fine but if you turn it off have to open hood spray eather or wait tell it cools down help

do our starters have an over-crank protection sensor on them...i know some of the big rig starters have them...basically it senses how hot the starter gets and opens a circuit so it wont do crank...so if it is faulty then it will sense the heat from engine and open the circuit and you'll be in a no crank situation...
found problem when changing the fuel pump and filter a pice of something got into the relief valve and pluged up the little hole on the banjo bolt that is infront of the the spot where the ball seats blew it out with air put it in works great starts every time
