Default Engine Rebuild Kits

My 04.5 is blowing whitish/gray and blue smoke out the exhaust and its using oil as well as missing. Somebody told me it was a busted oil ring and others have told me that it may be a stuck valve or etc. I am wondering if anyone knows where to get the best rebuild kit for the engine and if anyone has experienced the same problem? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Rebuild kit? Without knowing what is wrong, how would anybody be able to tell you what to buy?

I also have a 04.5 blowing white and blue smoke. I did have an injector prob. they were cracked and dumping fuel into my oil. a tech has told me that my rings are fried. I am looking for a rebulid kit also. pistons, rings, bearings, oil pump, etc...

My truck has never leaked or used hardly any oil up untill now. I drove it for maybe an hour and it has leaked or lost almost 3 quarts of oil somewhere and it isnt on the ground. I start it up and it blows all different kinds or colors of smoke thru the stacks and reaks of oil in the smoke. I havent noticed any lack or difference in mpg before I parked it so I am assuming it is a busted ring or a valve stuck or something of that sort. I even unplugged the juice and disconnected the batteries overnight to see if it was that and it didn't help whatsoever. I am thinking about rebuilding it and installing headstuds when I do and want to see what companies have parts for it. Rings, bearings, gaskets, etc. Maybe pistons as well.

Cummins has a great rebuild kit, with everything you need in it. You can get them at you local Cummins dealer, just bring your engine serial number or they can not guarantee you the correct parts.
