wieghts and dimensions
weights and dimensions?
I am needing to know how much the 6.9L or 7.3L IDI engines weigh, that is complete with heads, intake, and such. And also what the difference between the 6.9L and the 7.3L is, bigger sleeves, longer stroke, bigger combustion chambers, or any combination of these or any more information anyone can give me? Thanks for any help can offer!!!

my 7.3 factory turbo IDI weighs about 1500#'s IIRC.....thats fully dressed....
everything external on the 2 motors are interchangeable.... even the heads.... the 7.3 has larger head bolts, the cylinders are bored .110 bigger (if stock) than the 6.9, and on the factory turbo 7.3's the wrist pins are considerably bigger than the NA 7.3 and 6.9 (took me almost a month to FINALLY get the correct pistons for mine when i rebuilt it....) also the 7.3's are very very prone to cavitation because the cylinder walls are thinner than the 6.9.....
im tired, thats all i can think of for now....
