With today's oils, you can run any of them for 6K. If you want something to go longer, then synthetic is a good option. I would go with a full synthetic. Blends don't make a lot of sense IMO. Either do or don't.
As mentioned above, amsoil is one synthetic option that can get you 15,000 -25,000 on a change depending on what oil you choose and how you use your truck.
