Hi Gang,

Just wondering how to tell if the injectors are good or not. I sometimes get black smoke if I'm just hitting the paddle. It doesn't do it all the time, plus the odd time it seems to me that the power goes?

I've changed my fuel filter not that long ago, maybe 13,000km(Cdn)

I was talking with another diesel owner he said it could be them or the Turbo?

On my truck I have 124,000km for an 2006 2500 5.9L this is my first deisel so still learning..

BUT DAM GLAD I HAVE A DIESEL OVER A GAS POT

get a pyro gun and measure the temp on the exhaust manifold from a cold start up..................if one lung aint firin it will be obvious..........I diagnosed a six point oh no that way one and the dealership machine did the same..................also run yer codes dude

 

Good info Whit I guess I never thought about using a thermo gun. That's slick right there but yet so simple

I love doin some simple stuff like this at work then wait for the engineers to come up with the sam info a week later
