I'm planning on buying a 03 cummins 2500 with the six speed, my question is does having the six speed mean that the engine is the High Output if not is it still common rail injection or does it have vp44 pump? how can I tell if it's the H.O. Thanks

 

it will be CR, if memory serves all the NV5600 trucks were HO's. You can tell by reading the valve cover.

I have a 2003 as well, except my tranny is automatic. What's easiest way to tell if mine is H.O., with the 48re tranny.

 

Black engine valve cover has a stick on the side that gives the basic info. It will say 325 hp output if its HO. If its not it will say 305.
