Default doing kdp tab, need advice

Alright im gonna do the kdp tab, using my own tab i made, now i want to know have any of you guys had any luck using rtv to seal the cover back up instead of the gasket? Ive had good luck with the grey ford rtv never leaking but i dont know what kind of pressure is going to be on this cover. Lets hear any ideas, ive been lookin through this site quite a bit since i bought my truck and looks like this is the place to start moddifing it.

The only pressure the cover will see is crank case pressure. So yes you could use RTV. However Personally I would use anerobic sealer as opposed to a silicone. It seals better and doesn't cure until is is deprived of oxygen. Downside is it is a wee bit more expensive.
