60lb valve springs
Get you a good valve spring compressor http://tbn0.google.com/images?q=tbn:...500_AA280_.jpg I got mine from carquest for around 40 bucks. It came with a bolt for doing 5&6 springs and works great. I bring each piston up to tdcc so the valve will sit on the piston and not fall in when you remove the keepers. Bring #1 up till both rockers are loose and both rockers on #6 are tight, then you can do #1 without dropping a valve, do this in firing order 153624, with companion cylinders 1&6,2&5,3&4. After installing the keepers, remove the tool and give the valve a good tap with a deadblow hammer to seat the keepers. Also blow out the rocker arm/head bolt holes with air and brake cleaner to get all the oil out of the hole or your bolts will not torque down, lube the head bolt threads and under the head of bolt with a molly compound or light engine oil when reinstalling them. Reset your valve lash and your done
Good luck I hope this helps.
Those are good inst when I did mine I did 1 cylinder at a time just to be safe also make sure you bar the engine over in the opposite of the running rotation or backwards it turns over easy from the alternator nut
Yes sir I use the alt. nut in reverse as well so I can watch the valvetrain and see where I'm at when doing it.
