there should be a air line that comes out of the front of the turbo that goes to the wasegate actuator just behind the turbo.just disconnect it from the actuator and plug it.the line tells the wastegate to open and dump your boost pressure.if you plug the line it will stay closed allowing you to build more boost.just don't let it go over 35psi.

The bearing housing needs to be machined out to fit the compressor wheel. It has a larger diameter.

High Tech turbo makes a kit that includes compressor wheel and housing. On the H1C turbo you can get it with the backplate to fit the compressor wheel. On the hx35 the bearing housing needs to be machined.

I would suggest getting an adjustable boost elbow instead of blocking the wastegate. With the elbow you can adjust your boost to fit with your modifications...

Here is what I do not understand with guys who go this route...

While I do understand the need to fit a owners budget when you look at his signature for his truck you can tell he is easily above what the demands on a HX35/40 hybrid will be able to handle.Even with a exhaust housing upgrade to a 14cm gated or 16cm non gated the charger will be about out of its map range. Then you throw on the cost for the upgrade $300-400 for the hybrid kit itself and the exhaust housing $200-500 + the cost of machining and assembly and you are almost at just buying a good charger.

If you sit back and think about it cost wise you will see what I mean. Then throw in the fact that there are many small chargers on boards for sale as owners upgrade and I would pass on any HX35 hybrid thoughts. Its your truck and your wallet but IMO you can do better if you shop around somewhat......Andy

im going to throw my opinion is since i ran one with the amount of fuel i was running. its a great little upgrade for the money, if you are low on it ofcoarse. i constantly pulled 20k with mine and it did great. up a pass i was running at 1150 pyro. it was a great turbo all around. for the money its definatly worth it. FYI i spent a total of $560 on building the hybrid and that was with a non gated 16cm housing
