if you just noticed it i doubt its your turbo since you havent done any mods to cause this. you may have a boost leak. check you vacuum hose that comes out of the vacuum pump. when i rebuilt my engine last month i forgot to hook the hose up and when i accelerated it was louder than my big turbo

I did some checking today and found the clamp for the tube that goes from the air filter housing to the turbo intake to be loose.tightened it and tested the truck. The wistle went away a little more, but i can still hear it a little.I also checked the vaccum hose and it looked good.

I was doing some checking around in my engine area a couple weeks ago and i noticed that the rt. side negative battery cable was rubbing against the hose that is connected to the wastegate to my turbo.Could have that battery cable have rubbed a small hole in the waste gate hose and thats where my whistling is coming from?
