my buddy has a 94 (i think) bluebird school bus that has a 5.9 in it...engine runs good at idle and goin down the road..but if its idling and u shift it into gear it kills the engine..any suggestions?

 

if it is an automatic the idle needs to be turned up to 850 with the a/c on and it wont kill it. if its a manual the idle should be the same but when you put it in gear rev it up more

 

i was thinkin the idle was to low,since it ran fine, but when it loaded up a little it would die... just didnt kno what 2 set it at..it is an automatic...thanks man

 

my 97 dually is doin the same thing but it's idling at 1,000 rpm so i know it's not too low any other ideas i did pull the fuel heater bowl off today and found a lotof gunk in it am i just having some clogging issues or is it something else
