On my 01 2500 quadcab when I start the truck the brake warning light stays on, I topped off the fluid level and the parking brake seems to be all the way up, once I put the truck in drive it starts flashing and doesnt stop. Can anyone shed some light on this issue please?

Oh, also, what kind of brake fluid do you guys run? (dumb question but figured I'd ask)

 

Is your ABS light on ? These trucks are notorious for blowing ABS modules

 

No ABS, I figured it out. I pulled up on the parking brake pedal and it was still on, I noticed the plastic arount it was bent restricting it from going up all the way. That was a dumb mistake!!!

 

Glad it was something simple !
