can anyone tell me if the 48re will fit in a 99 dodge 2500 (cummins). any info would be very helpful. thanks

 

It is the same housing as one from that year, so yes it will fit, but I haven't the foggiest idea of what it would take to make it work electronically.

 

thanks for the advice, i have found a 48re that is built for half the price that i can build a
47re. It may be my only option to build a 47re. i figured that the electrical would be a bunch of trouble. thanks

Use your electrical harness on the VB. Should be fine from there.

thanks for the help guys. I can do anything on the motor but transmissions are not my thing and I hate sending my truck to the shop.
