turbo uh oh

Default turbo uh oh

the other day i was hot roddin my tuck around with my programmer all the way up. and after all that it sounds ten times different. and when its turn off and just runnin the ez it smokes more then normal. when it locks up and lugs it blows out more than before and never did before. could i have just melted some of the fins down. cause know even the whistle is almost not there. and it dont have nere the power it seems

Check for boost leaks.

ok will do. but what would explain the not so loud whistle anymore.

What kind of air filter do you have? Some filters will collapse with high boost.

pull the intake off and see if the turbo has any side to side or in and out play. make sure it spins free

i have an k&n. i dont think its colapsed. but before i could roast them of the bottom from dead stop and know it just smokes heavy then takes off and builds little boost. cause its not as quick as it was

Definitely sounds like a blown intercooler boot. Worst case its a headgasket between cylinders.

would it leak water or anything if it was a head gasket and i started it up one day and felt around the boots for leaks but did feel any unless i should take them off and inspect them with me good eye.

if its a blown headgasket like that most likely it will blow oil from crankcase pressure
