99' Dodge, Auto, 4x4, What oil should be in the transfer case? Going to change it out in about an hour and want to know what it takes. 50w, 80/90, 75/90? thanks

ATF-4 is what I just put in mine and I called the dealership to find out

yeah the manual probably says ATF, although if your trans is sealed off from the T case, gear oil will keep it cooler. hold on I'll call my grandpa and ask what weight if you want to go that route.

It will be fine with ATF+3 - ATF+4 is spendy and you dont need it.

Yep, ATF will work fine, even the cheap stuff (DEX/ MERC).

I used ATF+3 in my last truck and i put over 90,000 on it so i would go with that
