How does one go about getting a tack to come back to life? What reasons and what solutions do you have for me?

the sensor is most likely shot, it either reads off the balancer or the alternator...at least that would be the places i would look first

The sensor is on the front of the fuel pump where the drive gear is. It has 2 little wires comin out of the top of it. It's the only one there. Could be a short, but most likely a bad sensor.
