It looks like I'm going to be the owner of a new 2009 5500, 6.7, 4x4, 6spd manual, with a flatbed! My 06 I don't think is going to do what I need it to do.

So tell me all about these things, problems, fuel mileage, towing, mods and the stupid DPF! I was think'n about strait piping it from the DPF back? Will this mess/cause faults/ckeng lights or is this a bad idea?

In order to delete the DPF you will have to use some type of DPF Delete Kit. H&S XRT / Smarty 6.7 and a CR Expandit Exhaust works very well. If your truck was built before March 09 then your ok. If your truck was built from March + then your of out luck. Dodge just starting using a flash that will kill the trucks PCM if you attempt to put any type of Programmer on your truck.

If you just run a straight pipe from the DPF back then you won't have any issues.

 

this flash they are doing on the 09s are the dealers going to flash the older 6.7s when we take them to the shop ? I hope not .
