Default hard shifting after fuel plate

I was helping a friend put a 0 plate in a 1996 2500 CTD. We slid the 0 fuel plate and AFC all the way forward.

After we did that we took it for a test drive and noticed that the shifting (auto) was much harder than before. Is this a normal situation or is this a problem

If your running a #0 Plate with a stock transmission, your going to be un happy with in a week or 2. your trans is going to gernade. they are not ment for that kinda power. I would suggest he gets a nice billet tourque converter and a nice shift kit. and if hes really got the money and plans on beating it, i would get the billet main shafts, planitary gears and a nice deep pan. I run a 100 plate in my truck because this plate is easyer on the Drive train. I also don't have the money for any more upgrades to my transmission and its already shuttering. sooooo If i was him i would either get a less agressive plate or get that trans built up. BTW make shure hes got gauges that things going to be boosting hard and running hot, so he risks the chance of piston melt down and head gasket destruction
