i thought you only want to poilish an exhaust port, you need the intake to be more ruff to attomize the fuel? maybe thats just with gassers.....

It is just with gassers. You don't want the walls of an intake manifold on a gasser to be polished as it lets the fuel drop out of the air stream and start puddling. However diesels don't have any fuel in the intake so you can polish them all you want.

While thats true with Carbed motors, or TBI, an EFI (Multi Point) engine can still be polished out, because the fuel basically sprays on the back of the intake valve. And yeah, diesels can be polished no problem.

To the OP, it ain't worth it unless you're making MEGA horsepower, and at that point, you're better off letting ZZ Fabrication take care of it with their tubed intake.

To whoever said his buddy ported the intake and GAINED boost... That doesn't make sense at all. If you flow more air in, your engine becomes more efficient, and your air flows better, due to less restriction, and your boost lowers. Now, maybe he plugged his wastegate when he ported the intake, which would raise boost, but porting won't... And, don't Powerjokes use a plastic manifold?

True. But the bulk of my gasser experience is with carbed motors so thats generally what I think in terms of.
