hi guys, i know this thread doesnt involve the diesel engine, but i know you guys know alot of stuff other than the engines. i bought a keyless entry for my truck and i am having difficulties installing it. does anyone know where the door lock/unlock relays are? or how i should hook the lock/unlock wires from the entry module? any answers are appreciated thanks

 

what does the directions say?

 

The directions show three wireing diagrams.
a positive wiring
a reverse wireing
and a 5 way reverse
idk wich one my truck is and the dealer was no help
i tested the wires coming off the switch in the door so i knew what wire was lock and unlock come from the switch i taped in there with the wires from the module and got nothing i really need to know where the relays are located.

 

i would think they are under the hood in the main fuse block, just look on the underside of the cover and it should have them labeled

 

yeah i havent looked there yet.
ive been in there a few times and dont remember seeing them. i could be wrong
there in the book for the entry for 2 of the wiring diagrams it shows 2 relays one for lock and one for unlock. so there would be to to hook the wires to
