Default Exhaust

Need to get my stock exhaust in the trash--What does everyone think, what size of pipe does a mild modified 5.9L really need? Am going to buy a kit. Not planning on doing anything really outrageous, no turbo mods or anything more wild than an airbox and a chip really. Mostly gets driven on highway 60 miles to work, occasional towing.

Has anyone here ever tried measuring exhaust flow?

You'll be fine with just straight piping it. You already have a 4" exhaust.

My first exhaust was mbrp 5". Nice but a little laggy for me on takeoff. And it sounded awesom. Just little too loud for me. Especially after straight piping it. Then I went to Silverline 4" duals. They are nice also. Just try the easy cheap way first. Then go from there.

Get a 5" expandit exhaust with a muffler. its a nice kit for not alot of money and sounds wicked awesome. no cab noise and it isnt loud until you go WOT.

dont go straight pipe on a 3rd gen. it sounds like crap andit is so loud I oculdnt stand it. The cab drone is also unbearable.

i have no muffler, and i hate it, tooo loud in the cab. makes it hard to sneek away early in the morning with out waking the baby up. should get a muffler that has got a good growl to it, but nothing obnoxious(?). just my 2 cents.
