Just started to smell antifreeze from my heater vents, i am guessing i need to replace the heater core, which i have done on a few 99 jeep cherokees. It was a hell job! has anyone done this on a 97 quad cab dodge with a/c? do you have any helpful hints? or am i going to just have to grin and bare it??

 

Alldata calls for 5.2 hours on a 2002 ram. i would assume it would be close to the same. looks like you have to remove the dash and under dash airbox, and suposably the a/c system needs to be evacuated and then re-charged. i know this is how me and a friend replaced his in his Dakota..... it wasn't fun at all......

 

ya, that is about how long it took for me to do the one in a jeep with a/c. I am not to happy about it......
