Oh boy... Just you wait.

And congratulations.

First off... go ahead and degrease your engine real good, wash it and if possible steam clean it. Get every nook and cranny from top to underneath 'cause you are about to spend a lot of time under that hood.
Gauges... get a boost and pyrometer first before any mod's...

Then these other guys are going to turn you on to some cool quick power that will have you wanting more, and more, and more, and...

Get it clean - real clean - then I spray mine down with WD-40 and wipe it down really really good - give it a couple of weeks and then wipe it down again. Then you will be nice and clean to start wrenching...

It's too late for me to get into it tonight but be patient - you will learn a lot.

Again... Congrats!

Service everything and keep it well maintained...

if u have an auto transmission get a aftermarket valvebody and torque converter put in, if its manual have a aftermarket clutch put in, get gauges, then take the plate out and take the arm out of the pump... ur smoke alot... then when u realize its too much smoke u can put the arm back in

thanks guys. Its a 5 spd. I think im just going to hack the muffler off and put a piece of pipe in on that end of things, atleast for now. yea i just think theres nothin cooler than a cummins blowin black smoke...im just a sick individual tho . Some more power would be nice but it really does have plenty for towing a livestock or car trailer and thats all I will do with it.

you have the 215hp pump. If you do go with a plate down the road I would choose a #10 lots of peolpe run it and love towing with it.

The 10plt is awesome for towing and having some fun too. Smoke is fun here and there just watch out for who you smoke around the law is cracking down on us (The Diesel Community)

IMO smoke is ment for the pulls and the track only ... there is no need to be blowing smoke on the street
