have about half dozen people in my Nuclear maint. shop all diesel fans and trying to figure out if you can control a vgt turbo off the new 6.7L, useing spring and waist gate actuators. seams like it should be possible. any advise.

P.S. got new turbo back single stack kit from mbrp and i cant wait till saturday so i can install it.

 

the vgt turbos are junk, my buddy works in the test center at cummins, he tells me all the time that about 70 percent of the warranty work they do on the 6.7s are due to the turbos

 

i think its do to emmission stuff. a lot of soot. they say they work good if truck has deletes

 

good to know. so hopefully not an issue when putting on a 5.9

 

It's not so much the turbo itself as it is with them clogging up with soot, due to the emissions equipment the eco-***** decided to shove down our throats. When they're clean they work great.
