I sold my edge (hopefully) and my friend who has a CR puller and he was saying if i dont want crazy power to either get a BDTD or a PPE.. Well i found a PPE Xcelerator used for 350.00. What do you guys think of them. Havent really heard much about them. Thanks!!!

just to let you know the horsepower that PPE advertises is at the crank not rear wheels. so the hp is actually less than advertised.
just an FYI.

They make lots of power no doubt.

 

Ok that makes sense.. I was going to say.. If they were rated like the others, i would leave it on level 1... Are they decent tuners? is it worth 350? they sell for over 600 new...

I have just recently put one on my 06. Still learning all this....Drove my friends 05 the other night with a Smarty.....His is alot better all through the power band. Not really impressed with mine now....

 

Smarty is #1 in Cummins Performance.

 

the deal Bob has on the used smartys hes got isnt going to be beat. if you can afford one I would do it.

I don't know if you can do it with the standard Excellerator but Drever and Total Performance both Run PPE with NADP custom Tunes that dowload into them. You might want to shoot them a email. From what I hear they are some killer tunes. there is a couple other people out there running them not for sure who though.

 

there are a few quad x2 boxes over on cf for sale.
those are really nice and you can get one for $200
and under. the standard box is 100 hp then you
can upgrade to the race for 140 hp which is more
than enough.
