Anybody know where I might be able to find a timing case for a 12 valve cummins? Do all 5.9l B series engines use the same gear case? How much new would this be from cummins?

 

No the cases are different between the 12 and 24 valves...and i imagine it would be quite pricey from Cummins

Can the case be fixed?

 

yes if you know someone who can weld aluminum. id do it for ya if you were closer been welding aluminum for years. easyer if you take the case off but can bee done in fram, inorder to remove case you have to pull the gam and all gears along with radiator, intercooler

 

If i do weld it will it need to be resurfaced due to warping?

 

there was a link from a diesel place that sells them for $130 brand new in the 12v section, I thought I bookmarked it but I didnt

 

For the case or the cover? The cover alone is about that much.

 

i have never herd of them that cheeap sumptin aint right. if you weld it you will be using a tig and it will not warp the case
